Slab
▶️slabs are constructed to provide a flat surface usually horizontal in building floor, roof etc. They may be supported by beam or column.
classifications of slab

* one way slab is a reinforced concrete slab which mainly distribute the loads in one direction( only in shorter direction). such a slab are designed by taking a unit width in longer direction.

*two way slabs are slab system which supported and distributed loads in its two directions( both longer and shorter direction). In this case reinforcements are also provided in both directions.

*The choice between different slab types of either one way or two way slab system is largely dependent on the architectural requirements and magnitude of loads.

*The practical two way slabs may includes
1- two way slab on beam
2- flat plates
3- flat slabs
4- waffle slabs
